Unique Article Wizard Review – A Warning Before Using

One of the biggest challenges for website owners is link building. Building your link popularity increases your web presence which in turn helps with search engine rankings and over traffic increases. We are always on the look out for new products that can help with the link building process. One we recently came across is Unique Article Wizard.
Unique Article Wizard is a program where you write 3 versions of the same article and then they take each corresponding paragraph from all 3 articles and they create the maximum combinations of unique articles as possible. So by mixing and matching paragraphs they submit to article directories hundreds of different (but similar) versions of the article you wrote.
Each article submission allows you to place a link in the footer of the article and so every submission that takes place gets you new links. It is a quick and easy way to start link building quickly.
Our Experience With Unique Article Wizard
So like any good internet marketer we decided to give Unique Article Wizard a try. We had our copywriter start writing 3 versions of the same article and submitting them to UAW and the links started coming in. We were getting hundreds of links everyday.
Before I continue it is important to note that there is such a thing as getting too many links to a site too quickly. I have posted about that before here.
In order to test the effectiveness of the links we stopped all other link building efforts. This way we would truly know if the Unique Article Wizard links were working. You should know that the website we tested on already had thousands of good links and very good search engine rankings. It was probably dumb of us to test it on an established website that was making us money but we did.
Search Engine Backlash
Suddenly about 1 month into our Unique Article Wizard experiment we saw a sudden and unexpected drop in search engine rankings in Google. It was such a dramatic drop that our traffic dropped by 75%. We were scrambling at first trying to figure out what had happened and why after a year of consistent rankings we had plummeted.
After going over all of the on-page options we finally concluded that the only x-factor in our SEO was Unique Article Wizard. We realized that for about a month the only type of links we were getting were these article submission links and there were a lot of them. Since we had abandoned the more natural link building tactics we had been using and were testing only these article links our rankings dropped.
This happened because these articles that Unique Article Wizard submits are not truly “unique” in that at least one paragraph will be exactly the same on hundreds of these combinations of articles. Therefore the links do not carry nearly the weight of the other links we had been getting and our link building efforts now didn’t appear natural.
One thing you should know: Google will never penalize you for links that link to your website. That is something you can’t control and so they will never deindex you for it. They may completely devalue links that look spammy but you won’t ever be penalized. It does look like you can’t just use Unique Article Wizard or any article submission service as your sole means of link building, especially in an industry where your competitors are doing link building the right way.
How To Use Unique Article Wizard Effectively
It seems to us that the best way to use UAW effectively is to make it one part of the overall link building mix. If you have a new website or new pages that you want to get indexed by Google quickly then Unique Article Wizard can help there too. It can be a help to you in the overall link building effort but it should never be your only strategy to getting links.

Not only do you tell about the site but you test it too. Nice.
I have 3 questions to ask you.
1. How many articles did you submit in total?
2. Did you do unlimited submission?
3. Did all the links in the resource box link to your home page.
In economics, there is law of diminishing returns. Too much of consuming something reduces the importance of something. If all the links were pointing to your home page, then Google probably devalued the links from the sites because you were getting the same link from the sites daily.

I think we were doing 2 articles per week. In other words, we were submitting 3 versions of the same article per day.
We started out doing about 50 submissions a day per article but then we scaled back to 10 a day as it seemed that too many links were coming in.
We linked to many sub pages as well as the home page. It was definitely a good mix. I think the real problem is that we weren’t mixing up the anchor text at all. Each article we submitted was going out to hundreds of websites with the same anchor text.
I really need to set some goals for link building. My only profitable site actually ranks well with the search engines and I have never built any links beyond a couple forum postings. The site’s topic is very niche and it seems any competition I may have doesn’t do any link building either.
Anyway, I’m ranking well for the content I have focused on, but I wouldn’t mind ranking better for the most basic and common search terms. I think link building will help me get this. This is hard to do when my topic is so niche that finding a good copywriter is difficult, so I write most myself.
I also had some sites fall off the face of google after using UAW. After about a month my site returned to the number 1 spot for my “key phrase” but some of the deeper pages that were ranking for other key phrases never recovered. I also had 50 submissions per day and I think that was too high. I mixed up the anchor text but I think it was too many links too fast. I think I will try it again submitting 2-5 sites per day.
Thanks for the sound advice about UAW. Depending on who you ask, some will say that too many links too fast is a bad thing, while others encourage it. Your experience speaks louder than their words and I’ll definitely take this into consideration.
So does having a different anchor text on the same article make it unique?
I have a new website – keywords rate very well in Australia but not ROW. What is the benefit of direct refferal from this and what range of hits would you expect from this per article.
I had a bad experience with unique article wizard. I had a domain that i was receiving articles via Unique article wizard. After about three months the site go de-indexed because of duplicate penalty.
First, thanks for the great review about the unique article wizard. I have great success with the UAW as well to generate massive backlinks to my website and getting them ranked on search engine.
Some update for Unique Article Wizard, they have upgraded their whole system to a more user-friendly and design-friendly interface which make it even easier to use the uaw submission.
There’s even page by page videos that show you exactly what to do as well.

Hi, thank for the honest review about UAW. At the June 2009 I registered as member of UAW, I did not know about the de-indexing of Google as we are too fast getting link. I am newbie, at that month I try to submit 3 articles with the spin of each, then I back to check at Aug 2009. I stunned as there are many link back to my website. My PR now growing at 2, and some of my keywords placed my Google at page 2 & 1. But my adsense still the same. Then I canceled my membership as the pricely of membership.
My conclusion, the UAW is very good to get index from Google and having backlinks. But to make the backlinks very effective in we have to understand the targeting keywords that we want to compete at the Google.

I’ve been in using the UAW for about 9 or 10 months now and I’m still amazed by the power it has.
I did get some penalties to begin with like some of the other here have commented on but since I started using the drip feature to only send out 2-3 articles pr day everything has been great!

I am struggling with the decision on whether I should use UAW or not. It sounds very intriguing but I am uncertain on whether the possible consequences are worth it or not.
I have never experienced any penalties from uaw and I have been pretty aggressive with it. It has helped me increase traffic to all of the websites I have used it for.
Make sure you mix the anchor text.
UAW is excellent for getting pages indexed for low competition keywords.
Slowwww the process down of your submissions. If you slow role an article to almost 1000 directories over a period of 4-6 months, Google looks at this as if more and more people are talking about the similar thing referencing your website over time (good thing). 1 out of 1,000,000,000 websites will naturally create a Mega Buzz on the Internet within 1 or 2 months. Live by the term “Patience”.
If you use UAW on a daily basis with brains, motivation and smarts, within one year you will dominate 3-4 word key phrases.
Each article I write and then re-write 3 times (including 100s of titles and resource tags) takes me about 3-4 hours to complete.
Your article Must Be spell checked for errors. It must not be something you put together in 10 minutes. It must have some kind of useful knowledge. If you owned an article site and you received a submission for a misspelled, lousy without information article, would you except it on your site? Probably not.
Also, by taking some time to write a good article, people will spread it for you because they enjoy sharing it with others. Yeah sure, even the worst article can gain you a backlink, but Good articles gain more by real people wanting to link to them, ect. In other words, it will spread like a disease (good thing). Write the article for PEOPLE and use the resource box and anchor text for search engines… get it?
This still requires effort from you. SO PUT IN THE EFFORT.
The amount of backlinks I receive in 4-6 months for writing ONE article in 3-4 hours and distributing different and unique articles (with the ONE article I re-wrote) with UAW would take me 1000s of hours to complete without UAW.
It would probably take me over a year to re-write one article with different titles and resource boxes and submit them entirely by myself, while having to find sites to submit to.
This post is a REAL review of UAW from a REAL user.
I can bet that if UAW increased their monthly cost to $200, a handful of successful UAW member like myself, would still be glad to pay.
