Brilliant people doesn’t view a situation in the negative side.

I know you’re thinking, what in the world? That was literally part of a comment I received on one of my posts. I was going through all of the comments and approving the legitimate ones and deleting the spam.

So many comments come from people in other countries where English is not their primary language. Some of the sayings are so ridiculous I felt I had to share them with you.

These are actual comments I sorted through:

Now before you judge me as being harsh on people that struggle with English I just want you to know these were not real readers and fans of Prosperly, they were people trying to post spammy links in the comments of my site. If someone gives me a legitimate comment not obviously just trying to get a spam link out of it, I will gladly post it.

Please Prosperly readers, or non-readers I should say, keep the spammy comments coming. It gives me material for new posts.

  • Me Likey! Top Notch Writing! Keep it up the good work!…

I get these too, some of them are word for work matches. They do make me laugh sometimes, but the ones that actually have a keyword of the article in them are the best ones. I read those an then notice the URL is to a crap site and I click “Spam” without hesitation.

BTW, why isn’t the Akismet plug-in catching these? I use it and I assume you do too. Perhaps that broken grammar is their key to getting overlooked.

  • Nice post. Very funny reading the comments. We all go through this crap – part of the ‘business’.

Keep up the great posts. I will be back.

  • OK. This was one of the funniest posts I’ve ever read in my life! I laughed out loud several times. Snarf!

Is this really what I have to look forward to? How fun! I can hardly wait until I start getting hilarious SPAM comments from around the world.

Great blog, by the way. No, really! I totally mean it. I’m hooked. And I want to be like you when I grow up. You’re my new hero. Your blog is going on my list. As soon as I figure out how to work that widget.

To be honest, most days it feels like I’m chasing my tail (and I’m ashamed to admit this has been going on for years!). Nay. I have a better image. If you can picture this: I’m chasing my tail in circles and I’m moving in a forward momentum. In other words, in spite of myself I’m still actually getting somewhere in this crazy information-choked business called Internet Marketing.

Now, if I could only start making some money! ;-)
