The #1 Internet Marketing Secret…

Posted on December 29th, 2011 in Internet Marketing Strategies, Personal Life | No Comments »

Before you get too excited, this is another post about a clean romantic comedy film we just finished shooting. I know, I know it was under handed to get you thinking I had the #1 internet marketing secret but I was feeling bad about only posting filmmaking stuff.

The movie we just finished is called Chick Magnets. Check out the Chick Magnets Trailer or check out the website here at Chick Magnets Movie.

It will only be shown in theaters here in Utah at first but if it does well enough we should be able to get it into other theaters. The movie will have a PG rating.

P.S. The number one internet marketing secret is to choose a niche you know a lot about and love.

New Short Film I Shot – Happiness…

Hey Prosperly fans. Check out this short film I made over Thanksgiving. Let me know what you think.

My other passion…

Posted on August 30th, 2011 in Goals, Personal Life | 1 Comment »

As you may know my true passion in life is filmmaking. All of the internet marketing and SEO work I have done in my life was a means to an end. That end was me being able to pursue the thing I love the most.

As I have talked to you about the Prosperly Way I have used that methodology to create automated income so I can spend my time working on making films.

I have most recently been working on a new sci fi web series that I am pretty stoked about and proud of. I wanted to have at least 4 episodes up before I pushed it to the public.

Well those 4 episodes are up and now I would love to have my Prosperly audience take a look and let me know what you think.

If you enjoy the series, then Like Us on Facebook, or Tweet to your followers about us, or just show your friends. I would love to see how many views I can get on these. The website is RoswellProtocol.com

I also created a hoax news report and website to help build viral buzz for the series. You can see it at HelpMeTellTheWorld.com

I can’t tell you how much enjoyment I get out of pursuing my passion and following my dreams. I hope that passion comes across in the work I have done.

Enjoy and then Spread The Word!

Event Ticket Protector Is A Scam – Don’t Use Mondial Assistance Insurance Company!!!

Posted on May 4th, 2011 in Personal Life | 2 Comments »

I know, I know, this has nothing to do with internet marketing. But since I have an audience I want to share this anyway.

A year ago my wife and I took a trip to New York City for our 10th wedding anniversary. Prior to the trip we bought tickets to see Lion King on Broadway.

I knew it was going to be a crazy time with a lot going on so I bought the insurance that Ticketmaster offers (Event Ticket Protector) in case you can’t make the show.

The insurance is offered through Mondial Assistance. So I paid for the insurance and then we took our trip. Sure enough we ended up coming home a day early and missed the show.

I promptly filed the claim through their Event Ticket Protector website and submitted everything they asked me for.

Fast forward a year and I get a letter in the mail from Mondial Assistance saying they have closed my case because they never got any documentation.

So I called them up and spoke with one of their reps. I was amazed at how prepared she was to come back at anything I said to her. It was clear I was not the first person to call them with concerns.

She told me I never sent in the tickets for the event. I told her since it was a year ago I don’t remember what I sent them but I know I sent them everything they asked for when I filed the claim.

She then told me that if I didn’t miss the show for a family death or medical emergency then it wouldn’t be covered anyway.

I told her they needed to make that much more clear when you sign up for the product because the way they sold it was Protect Yourself In Case You Cant Make The Show.

She said the confirmation email they send out clearly states what is covered and what isn’t. So in other words they tell you after you already paid for it. But you do have 10 days to get a refund…if you decided to read the 4 page small font document they send in the email they sent you when you signed up.

She then went on to question why I was just now calling Event Ticket Protector after a year and I said “because I just got a letter from you saying the case was closed.”
Her – “Well you should have called earlier and checked the status.”
Me – “Im not going to do this with you. I know you don’t own the company but Event Ticket Protector is a scam.” Then I hung up.

Companies like Mondial Assistance can only make money if your claim gets denied. They are in the business of denying claims. Don’t waste your money. It’s better to risk missing a show and losing the money than to go through the hassle of dealing with them.

Why farmers make great internet marketers

Posted on August 3rd, 2010 in Online Success, Personal Life, Starting An Internet Business | 2 Comments »

A couple of months ago I decided to explore my farming roots and raise some chickens. I bought 6 chicks and built them a nice home complete with fenced in yard and chicken coop. I spent the next couple of months feeding them and watering them and eventually I started letting them out in the yard to walk around and develop their natural hunting instincts.

I have spent several hundred dollars raising these chickens, waiting for them to finally pay off and start laying good quality eggs. Well a couple of days ago I finally got my first egg. Several more have come since then and soon I will be getting 4-6 eggs a day. It was hard being patient waiting for these chickens to start laying eggs especially since all they were doing up until then was costing me money.

As I thought about this process I realized that it is very similar to starting an internet business. You first start your site and you have to put money into it either to buy it or have it developed. Then you care for it building up its rankings and adding content to it waiting for the big payoff. You wait and work patiently for the “eggs” to come. Then you get your first sale and your excited. Then you get a couple more sales. Pretty soon your making money every day.

The key to this process is active patience. You work hard while you wait. If you are doing the right things to your website the eggs will come.
