If You Quit You’ll Always Regret It

How’s that for a cliche? I hear from many people who start a website trying to make money online and don’t see real results in the beginning and get demotivated. If you are like I was when I first started you probably check your rankings every day to see if your site is showing anywhere in Google and then when day after day when you don’t see your site anywhere you get discouraged. It’s perfectly normal to feel this way. I’m here to tell you not to get discouraged. If you are doing everything the right way, you will succeed.

Let me tell you about my first website I ever ran. Funnyjolt.com was the very first site I ever started back in 1999. I’ve never talked about it before because I don’t own it anymore. Anyway, it was basically a collection of funny jokes, pictures and some prank phone calls me and my friend did when we were in high school.

I enjoyed running the website but had no idea how to make any money from it. I tried banner ads and other things but I wasn’t making a dime. The site was costing me $45 a month for hosting, (it was more expensive back in the old days) and I was frustrated. The worst part is without knowing what I was doing I had great search engine rankings, and an email list of about 2500 people. I finally decided to shut the site down.

Oh man if I just had a time machine…I would have bought Google stock at $90…and told myself to just hang onto that website. I was sitting on a gold mine but didn’t know how to pan. I think about the wasted opportunity because I gave up on that site.

I still regret it to this day.

The point of this is that success doesn’t usually come quickly. There is unavoidably a heavier load of work in the beginning and then as your website gets going you will start to see more and more success. A month or two in beginning can seem like a long time but remember the grand scheme of things, it really isn’t.

Since my first failure I have since taken many websites and brought them to the top of Google and earn a great full time living online. The principles that I use and teach others do work. Just keep the faith that the proven internet marketing principles will come through.
